Mary Macleod MP 

Mary Macleod was elected as the Member of Parliament for Brentford & Isleworth in West London on the 7th May 2010. She currently serves as Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to the Rt Hon. Nick Herbert, Minister for Policing and Criminal Justice.

Mary spends Monday to Thursday working in her office in Westminster and attending Parliament. This involves speaking in the House of Commons Chamber, attending meetings, replying to emails, tweets and letters and working with her Parliamentary team to address local issues. As well as her PPS role, Mary is currently involved in the following Westminster activity:

  • supporting the Treasury and Education ministerial teams
  • chairing the All Party Parliamentary Group Women in Parliament
  • serving in the Parliamentary Armed Forces scheme as a Squadron Leader in the RAF
  • Conservative regional spokesperson for the London area
  • a member of 20 All Party Parliamentary Groups covering a variety of areas (for example Youth Affairs, Corporate Governance, China and the Olympics)

Outside of Westminster, Mary spends as much time as possible out and about in the constituency. She uses every Friday to meet with local businesses, groups and residents across Chiswick, Brentford, Isleworth, Osterley and Houslow.
