Mary's Advice Surgery
-
What is a Surgery and where are they held?
Mary holds regular advice surgeries across the constituency, making sure to hold them in the four main areasa of her constituency: Brentford, Isleworth, Chiswick and Hounslow. Surgeries are by appointment only so as to make the most efficient use of time available.
Appointments are usually reserved for people who need help with an urgent, personal problem; for example, an education, medical or homelessness issue.
If you have a policy issue to discuss, it is best to send Mary a letter or an email.
If you have an immigration matter to discuss, it is also best to send Mary a letter or an email. Because Mary's advice surgeries are in such high demand, you may often have to wait for up to two weeks for an appointment. For urgent immigration cases, we can take action right away with an email or a letter.
- What happens afterwards?
Following an appointment at the advice surgery, Mary will write to you to inform you of the action she has taken. This usually involves contacting the relevant organisation or individual on your behalf. She will then write to you again once she has information with which to update you. It is not possible to provide you with an update until we have this information.
Please rest assured that once we have an update for you, we will contact you.
If you have met Mary at a surgery and have follow-up questions about your case, please email or write to her.
